DAEMON Tools

If you need to work with virtual image files, DAEMON Tools will make everything easier for you. It can mount virtual images and it allows you to explore their contents in Finder. Also, the application provides you with the means of creating new virtual images, with any file types. The application is lightweight, easy to use and its controls are very comfortable.

The application's user interface consists mainly of a list, in which you can import image files. Once you import one or more images, you only need to double click their entries to mount them. Mounted images are displayed in the lower region of the interface, where you can also find an option for mounting images quickly, without importing them.

New disc images can be created with any local folder, regardless of its contents. You can opt for a virtual CD, DVD or Blu-ray disc. Furthermore, the application allows you to choose between different formats, like MDX, MDS and ISO and you can also opt for a UDF or ISO+Joliet file system. Compressing and encrypting images are other possibilities.

It takes only a few seconds to create an image, regardless of its contents. Once created, images are added automatically to the list, on the main user interface. Besides using the application's main controls to mount images, you can also use a series of options, for the same effects, which can be accessed through an icon on the status bar.
